Fencing Equipment Gear for Fencers
West Coast Fencing Academy provides new students with some of the necessary fencing and safety equipment as part of membership & group fencing class fees (sabers, knickers, body cords, lames and other electric gear is not included).
To participate in electric fencing or fencing competitions, you must have your own required saber fencing equipment.
It is recommended that fencers purchase their own fencing equipment for better health, safety and comfort.
- Beginner/New Club Fencer:Club supplies: practice saber weapon (non-electric), a practice mask (non-electric), a white fencing jacket, a practice fencing glove, underarm protector and a chest protector if needed (girls are required).
- Student who begins Electric Club Fencing: Club supplies: a white fencing jacket, underarm protector, and a chest protector if needed (girls are required).
Student must own: one electric saber weapon, electric saber mask, fencing knickers, socks, an electric saber glove, a lame, one saber body cord, one saber mask cord. - Competitive Saber Fencer:Student must own (minimum requirements): white fencing jacket, underarm protector, a chest protector if needed (girls are required), two electric saber weapons, electric saber mask, fencing knickers, fencing socks, an electric saber glove, a saber lame, two saber body cords, two saber mask cords.
General, Outside Fencing Club Equipment Rentals
West Coast Fencing provides fencing equipment and services to those working on outside commercials, TV shows, movies, plays, web series, and other special projects.
We offer fencing masks, jackets, pants, gloves, and fencing “weapons” which are available for rent on a daily basis with minimum one day rental.
Credit card security deposit will be required prior to pickup. Cash or credit card payment of the full rental period is due at equipment pickup. Security deposit will be promptly refunded when equipment is returned. Equipment is to be picked up and returned at the West Coast Fencing Academy in Monrovia, CA. We can accommodate last minute rental arrangements and pickup/return including evenings and weekends. Contact us for more.
Location & Facility Rentals
The West Coast Fencing Academy location and facility is available for birthday parties & special events. The facility may also be rented for filming and related events.
